Overview
As team lead I needed one place to see what was in flight, what was late and how each developer and tester was doing. FlowDesk is the tool I built for that, and the team uses it for day-to-day work.
It is a React app on Vercel and an Express API on AWS Lambda, with Supabase for the database, sign-in, realtime notifications and document storage.
Engineering notes
Commits matched to tasks with Claude
A git webhook logs each commit against a task. An explicit task reference wins. Otherwise Claude picks among the project's open tasks and returns a confidence, and anything below the floor is left unmatched for a person to place.
One definition of today
Lambda runs in UTC and the team works in Manila. Every date-sensitive calculation reads one configured timezone, so a ticket closed at 2 a.m. lands on the right day's report.
Numbers that agree with each other
The dashboard's overdue count and the filtered task list it links to use the same rule on the server, so the card and the list cannot disagree.
