Overview
LakbayHub is a booking platform for travel agencies. An agency signs in, searches across suppliers, books for its customers and settles from a prepaid wallet. Agencies can also run the whole thing as a white-label site on their own domain.
I work on both halves: the Vue 3 single-page app and the CodeIgniter API behind it. I am one of the most active contributors on each, with about 690 of 3,700 commits on the web app and about 480 of 1,470 on the API.
Engineering notes
Two codebases, one feature
Most features cross the front end, the PHP API and one or more Lambda services. I usually carry a change through all of them, so the contract between layers is designed once and not negotiated after the fact.
Moving off the monolith gradually
Newer products are built as separate TypeScript services while the PHP API keeps running. I ported modules out of the monolith one at a time and kept the response format identical so the web app could switch over by changing a base URL.
Production support
I trace failed bookings from request logs through to the supplier response, write up what happened, and fix the cause. That work shaped several of the tools further down this page.
